Quicklime Kurdistan Lime Industrial Factory

Quicklime

What is
quicklime?

Quick lime, which is also known as quicklime, active lime, calcium oxide, calcined lime and pure lime in the market is a chemical substance whose production process requires large and well-equipped factories. Quicklime does not exist in pure form in nature and it is obtained by performing chemical reactions on limestone.

The reason for its name is the strong tendency of this substance to change chemically when combined with water; Because if you combine quicklime with water, besides producing high heat, it will bloom by absorbing oxygen and hydrogen from the environment.

Types of quicklime

Quicklime is produced in several ways; Because in every industry we need a special type of it. In the following, we will examine each of these types.

0 to 100 mm quicklime

This type of lime has lumps with a size of 0 to 100 mm and its purity is close to 90%. The more heat the limestone receives, the purer the live lump will be. This type of slaked lime is mostly used for water purification, wastewater treatment, sand-limestone brick factories, construction and road construction industries. Another application of this type of living lump is in agriculture; Because with its help, you can neutralize the acids in the soil to increase soil fertility. On the other hand, this substance is also used to produce chemical fertilizers.

10 to 60 mm quicklime

This type of quicklime can be ordered in bulk and export jumbobags so that you can get it in any volume you need. 10 to 60 mm slaked lime is mostly used in industries such as steel, gold mining, food industry, compote making, soft drink making, production of by-products in slaughterhouses, production of dyes and glazes, leather making and water purification.

0 to 3 mm quicklime

In some industries, the size and dimensions of these lumps are required to be smaller; For this reason, we at the Kurdistan Lime Company also produce quicklime with dimensions of 0 to 3 mm. This type of quicklime is usually used in industries such as lime sand brick production, glass making, refractory brick production, building construction and road construction.

Quicklime with 70% purity

During the production of quicklime, the more time they heat the limestone and the higher the temperature of that heat, the higher the percentage of purity of quicklime will be obtained. However, high purity is not always suitable for use in all industries, and some industries, such as construction industries, poultry farms, and in fish breeding ponds, require quick lime with 70% purity. Many times, this type of quicklime is also used to supply calcium in the feed of broiler chickens.
